 Roundwood Surgery is a large practice that serves over 10,000 patients in    the Central Area Of Mansfield.

The Practice Opening Times are;

Monday to Friday  8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6.30pm

Saturdays Times are;   9.00am till 11.30am

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS

Same day appointments are reserved for patients who need to see a Doctor as an emergency please let our Reception Staff know.

In some cases a Triage Nurse or Doctor may phone you back to discuss your problem.

Please Note.

Each Doctor's Appointment is scheduled for a 10 minutes.

This enables Surgeries to run on time if each patient keeps to one main problem at each appointment.

Our Nurse Practitioners are available for appointments regarding;-

Contraception, HRT, Dietary advice, Stopping Smoking, High Blood Pressure and Travel Health. They also carry out yearly asthma checks, diabetic checks and spirometry. Appointments for these are available at various times throughout the week. Please contact reception for further details and appointments.

Treatment Room appointments are for Dressings, Ear Syringing,               Blood Pressure Checks, Stitch Removal etc..

 All our Nurses carry out Smears and Children's Vaccinations.

Michelle Green is available to do Blood tests and ECG's, She also helps in the treatment room

Ann Kerr will be available to carry out Blood Tests and Spirometry

Home Visits

If you are too ill to attend surgery please call and request a visit before          10.00am. A Doctor or Triage Nurse may call you to discuss your illness

Repeat Prescriptions

Please request these via your local chemist, or at the surgery by using the recorder slip attached to your prescription there is a mailbox just inside the main doors for this. This service is also available by Email.

OUT OF HOURS

When the surgery is closed an out of hours service is provided by the Mansfield Medical Co-op

This can be accessed by phoning the normal surgery

Your Medical History

As we work as a team of healthcare professionals you may not always see the same Doctor or Nurse each time you visit. if you see a doctor or nurse that is not familiar with your medical history please feel able to point out any information and important events as this will help us to better understand your problems.

The Roundwood Patient Group

The Surgery is trying to establish a group from anyone who is registered at Roundwood who would like to be involved in shaping the practice for the future and supporting the needs of other patients.

Some of the present group have already been consulted on areas such as car parking and the new design of the reception area.

If you are interested and would like to become involved and help us to meet yours and others needs more effectively then please come along

Our meetings take place at Roundwood Surgery on the fourth (4th) THURSDAY each month.

24th June, 22nd July, 26th August, 23rd September and so on.
